About Us

Who We Are

  • A Non-profit Religious Ministry for the Deaf
  • Founded in October 2014
  • A wonderful team of professional Sign Language Interpreters and video production experts dedicated to providing the highest quality of online interpretation services available.

Reason We Are

  • The number of North Americans who are severely to profoundly deaf is approximately 2 million.
  • Only 2 to 4% of Deaf people claim to know Jesus as their Savior.
  • Fewer than 8 out of every 100 Deaf people in the USA attend church.
  • Fewer than 4 out of 100 claim a personal relationship with Jesus.
  • The native language of Deaf people in North America is American Sign Language (ASL). It is the third most-used language in North America.
  • A number of mission organizations say the Deaf community is the largest unreached people group in North America.
  • 90% of Deaf people have parents who are hearing. However, fewer than 1 out of every 10 of those hearing parents can converse in sign language.

Why We Are

In Matthew 24, Jesus gives us the promise that He will one day come again, but tells us that He cannot come until the gospel is preached in the entire world. We are further told that on the Greek island of Patmos, John the Revelator saw a magnificent vision of 3 angels flying around the entire world sharing the everlasting gospel with every nation, kindred, tongue, and people.

But what about the Deaf?

Today, more than ever, the Seventh-day Adventist church is committed to doing the work of those 3 angels and have brought the gospel to millions of people around the world of every culture and language, but still in 2015, the millions of wonderful people living inside the Deaf communities are largely unreached.

The question is why? The answer is primarily due to two barriers: geography and language. SIGN Ministries’ mission is to offer solutions to these challenging obstacles.

What We Do

  • Interpreting Services (Recorded and Live): Through a wonderful team of professional Sign Language Interpreters and video production experts, we provide the highest quality of online interpretation services available.
  • Training workshops – This will allow churches to gain insight into Deaf culture, language, values, etc…as well as an introduction to their special abilities and needs while discussing the obstacles that have hindered the church from executing effective ministry in the Deaf communities.
  • Ministry planning – Help churches implement a plan to assimilate a Deaf member into the church’s various programs which aim at meeting each member’s need for worship, fellowship, discipleship, and material assistance.

Mission

To provide the Deaf, Hard of Hearing, or any member of a community that identifies American Sign Language as its primary mode of communication access to online Christian Media in their own language.
